Menter a Busnes has just launched ‘Gorsedd y Dreigiau’ 2012, a business competition which will culminate in a ‘Welsh Dragon’s Den‘ type event.
The company has joined forces with the Welsh Government and Telesgôp Media Company to stage ‘Gorsedd y Dreigiau’ ‘Welsh Dragon’s Den‘ … and there’s £7,000 cash on the table for the lucky winner(s)!
The aim of the competition is to support business developments by companies that are either about to start or that have been in existence for less than 5 years.
The panel will be looking for an exciting new development that has the potential to succeed and that demonstrates the entrepreneurial spirit of the people of Wales.
The finalists will ‘pitch’ their business idea to a panel of successful entrepreneurs at the National Eisteddfod in The Vale of Glamorgan on the 8th of August.
The judging panel (or Dragons) are Elin Rhys (Telesgôp), Eryl Williams (Asbri Golf), Janet Davies (Prysg) and Carwyn Adams (Caws Cenarth & Saloni) There is the main prize of £5,000, and this year there is an additional prize of £2,000 for the best entry by a young person (aged 16-25).
At least one member of the business should be fully bilingual. The closing date for entries is the 6th of July and full details of the competition are available on the following website Gorsedd y Dreigiau, or if you need further information contact: Eirian Davies at 01970 636280 /
