Setting up Windows Live Mail

This tutorial explains how to collect your email using Windows Live Mail. Setting up email is all about accuracy and often it’s the little things that cause issues so take the time be accurate as this will make it much easier. Your local Internet Service Provider can also cause issues on occasion.

Select Accounts and then E-mail.

Enter your e-mail address and password. Check Manually configure server settings. Click on Next.

Check Requires a secure connection. Enter the the server address for the outgoing server and port 587. Check each box for Requires a secure connection and Requires authentication.

Click on Next and then on Finish.
Windows 8 Mail synchronises with your mailbox.
You have to link the folders so that your e-mail will be filed in the correct folders.
