You should pay a web designer £500 to design a 5 page website with a simple text-based logo. Paying a web designer an hourly rate can lead to escalating costs and we don’t recommend you do this. Your quotation should cover the scope of the project and a fixed cost.

A 1 page website will cost you £200. This will include the design and assistance with your content and imagery.

Yes, you will have access to update your website via a secure login to your admin area.
You can change text and imagery as well as add PDF files for viewing or downloading. You can add video too.
We will tell you how to do all this and more including adding new pages and adding those pages to your main navigation. Don’t forget all our websites come with our annual website support package.

This is a critical question as many designers hold intellectual property rights over their work.

DoodleIT is different in that all websites, domain names and logos purchased remain 100% yours in every way. All we ask is that the services we provide are paid in full.

We do not however provide software updates or support for any software once it has been transferred away from us to another provider.

We provide secure website hosting that as default uses HTTPS encryption. We also take daily backups of all physical files and databases and retain each backup for 7 days.
One of the most used techniques hackers employ is to look for outdated software and exploit this. We manage all software updates for you ensuring everything is kept up to date at all times.

We can provide basic POP3 email accounts which you can set up on all your devices. Mobile, tablet and desktop. We can also provide you with the information you need to set them up such as mail servers and passwords. Our standard mailbox comes with 1GB of server space.
If you like the look of the Gmail email interface we can route your email address through their servers and take advantage of their FREE space.
We can also set up your domain name to make use of G Suite. We will take care of all the DNS settings for you.

Yes, we can provide completely bilingual websites for both brochure and eCommerce websites. This can be from the build or added on at a later date.
You can create a Welsh language page with the click of a button and then populate it in English for ease of translation.

The basics of good SEO are great content optimised for your key phrases and a website that’s mobile-friendly and fully accessible. Good hosting is also important and it’s critical that your website uses HTTPS encryption sitewide.
We will also talk to you about Social Media platforms and how they can help you if used correctly. We will discuss the need for a blogging platform and the best way to go about this.
We will analyse your website and make a determination of what’s best to do and we will tell you if we think your content is weak and make suggestions to help.

Yes we have a comprehensive website support package at an extremely competitive price. This website support package includes everything from hosting your website, keeping the software updated including security updates, registering your domain name, making daily backups and being there via phone or email for the times when you get stuck.

Yes, it can.
We can host your website on our servers and still keep your domain name and email elsewhere with your current provider.
We do this by changing the A records via your DNS control panel to point to our server’s IP address.

Let’s briefly outline the process for having a new website developed by DoodleIT:
Once we have agreed on the scope of work and the price we invoice you for a development deposit to cover setting up costs and as a commitment to work together to completion.
We will develop your website on a testing server. Only you and DoodleIT will be able to see this. Your current website will still be live!
We design your website here and add your content.
Once set up we show you how to make changes and add new pages and sections etc.
A domain name is decided upon and if you don’t already have one we will register one for you at no additional cost.
We make any necessary tweaks to content and layout and when we are all happy we invoice the final balance due and make your website live replacing your existing website if you had one.
Finally, manage all the day-to-day running tasks as outlined in our website support package here.

To set up an email account you need several pieces of information:

1/ Your email address also known as a username when setting up
2/ Your password
3/ You need both incoming and outgoing SMTP server settings

With these details, it is possible to set up email on a wide variety of devices such as Outlook or Thunderbird.
