Getting good quality links to your website is one of the most important aspects of any SEO effort and should be looked into only after you have completed your on page optimisation work. This is important!
What are good quality links?
Good quality links to your website means links from reputable websites that share the same theme as your site. Ideally, links from home pages are best but content links are also very beneficial. We are not a great fan of link directories and we don't think Google is either, but as long as the website is reputable and shares your theme it won't do any harm and can make a small difference so don't ignore them as every little bit helps!
Basic link building processes
We can put in place a process to encourage link exchanges with similar themed websites. This is a long term plan which over time builds low but sometimes high quality links to your site usually from a links page. Just ensure the theme is similar to your website and there is some other content on the page and not just a list of hyperlinks!
Article writing and submissions
We are a big fan of articles. What we mean by this is creating an informative and useful article of about 300 to 600 words long and getting it published on a high profile website with links back to your site. Important points to consider:
- Your article must have a clear title stating what your article is
- Your article must make good on it's title answering any promises in full
- 300 to 600 words long
- Reasonably well written with no spelling mistakes or gramatical errors
- Make your article Informative, don't promote yourself or your website, that's our job
