The DoodleIT designs websites with accessibility in mind.

We would like to make the web accessible for all users. This means that all your customers will be able to read the content of your site and navigate without experiencing any problems.

For example, simple things like text size can cause a problem for some users, so users should always be able to resize the text on a website.

Standards compliance

Your website will need to meet certain accessibility standards in order to comply with UK law.

All pages comply with at least priority 1 guidelines of the W3 Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

All pages validate as XHTML 1 Strict, they use structured semantic markup. This ensures that your website will function correctly with future browsers.

Links

Where necessary links make use of the title attribute to describe their purpose.

We have also used descriptive text for our links.

Links do not open content in a separate window.

Visual design CSS

This site use cascading style sheets for visual layout.

If your browser or browsing device does not support style sheets at all, the content of each page is still readable.

The layout is completely liquid, filling the browser's window. Our site accommodates text resizing and, as ems have been used as units, text can even be re-sized in Internet Explorer for Windows.

Imagery

The use of images is limited, however, where images are used a descriptive ALT text accompanies them.

In most cases we use background images.
